You will supervise and organize materials and labor on construction sites.
Tasks include:

• Delegating tasks to workers.
• Creating and monitoring schedules for each worker.
• Ensuring that work sites are clear of any hazardous materials prior to the commencement of projects.
• Conducting team meetings with workers and outlining how tasks are to be carried out.
• Managing budgets and tracking costs.
• Coordinating workers throughout projects.
• Ensuring that all materials, supplies, tools, and equipment are procured in a time-efficient manner.
• Monitoring daily procedures to ensure that proper quality is maintained.
• Handling onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner.
• Creating and maintaining positive working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensuring periodic maintenance and proper storage of construction equipment and tools.
• Complying with Work, Health, and Safety regulations.

Job pre-requisites:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience with verified evidence, preferably gained in New Zealand.
• A relevant bachelor's degree or higher qualification in management, construction management, quantity surveying, or other related fields is preferable but not essential.
• Good work attitude and good communication skills
• Strong motivation
• Quality workmanship and eye for detail
• Strong dedication to health and workplace safety
