Contract: Permanent full time position
Salary: Nursing & Midwifery MECA –Grade 1 of Senior Designated Nurses – salary step based on skills and experience.
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
We're looking for flexible, dynamic and motivational Registered Nurse with current Neonatal Badgernet EPR (Electronic Patient Records) experience to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) based at Wellington Regional Hospital.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team
NICU provides level three Neonatal Intensive Care Services for the central region of New Zealand including a 24-hour Infant Retrieval Service. Level two Neonatal Services are provided for the Wellington Metropolitan and Kapiti / Porirua areas. The Neonatal Transition Team provides transition nursing support for infants in the Capital & Coast catchment area. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit also has responsibility for provision of a telephone consultation service to the region and provides education and consultation to level two referral units.

Moū – About you
All nurses employed by Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand will have Registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and maintain a current Annual Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse.
The Speciality Clinical Nurse (SCN) working for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will have a desire to continue their nursing development and education; will have the ability to work well in a dynamic team, demonstrate values consistent with those of Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand and will be committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Duties
  • Maintaining the Neonatal Clinical Information System eg. Badger Net
  • Contributing and coordinating the Australia and New Zealand Neonatal Network (ANZNN) data collection
  • Providing comprehensive quarterly reports to ANZNN and Neonatal service
  • Completing mandatory quality assurance activity relating to Neonatal information systems e.g. Badgernet, ANZNN, Super User National Operational Group (SUNOG)
Skills & Experience
  • NZ Registration
  • APC
  • Current work visa
  • At least 5 years Neonatal care experience
  • PDRP – Expert or Proficient working towards Expert
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven computer / digital experience
  • Current Badger Net (EPR) experience
