We have a vacancy for an experienced Team Leader for the role Team Lead Regional Operations. The role will lead regional operations ensuring operational workplans and strategic priorities of Ngā Whenua Rāhui that support integration of environmental and cultural outcomes at place.

We are looking for someone who is skilled at inspiring, motivating and directing teams, and who enjoys making connections with others.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Excellent people management skills and a strong drive for results through collaboration.
- Knowledge and experience of conservation management, including natural and cultural heritage, and landowner aspirations.
- High standard of written and oral communication.
- Highly skilled at inspiring others to act.
- Knowledge of whānau, hapū and iwi dynamics.
- A high level of knowledge and experience in pest control methods for predator, ungulate and plant pests.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel.
- Strong focus on health, safety and wellbeing.
- Full New Zealand driver licence.
- A high level of confidence in Tikanga Māori.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Knowledge of the Ngā Whenua Rāhui Fund and its relevance to Māori landowners.
- Technologically savvy.
- Flexibility and willingness to spend periods of time away from home.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their ability to network and connect with whanāu/hapū/iwi and other agencies across the Ngā Whenua Rāhui Southwest regional rohe of the North Island and South Island.

The salary range for this position is $92,450 – $116,985 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory – this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
