Our client in the energy sector is seeking experienced and visionary leaders to join its team as Managing Director/CEO and Executive Directors (EDs) to provide Executive and Strategic Leadership for their operations in Nigeria.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of Nigeria’s electricity grid and ensure a reliable, sustainable, and efficient power supply for millions of Nigerians.
About the Role
This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing financial strategy, corporate governance, human resources, procurement, and corporate services. Your leadership will ensure that the organisation operates efficiently, remains financially sound, and adheres to the highest standards of regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the mission and long-term goals, overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and fiscal policies.
Ensure that corporate governance practices meet the highest standards, overseeing compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Lead HR strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent, overseeing recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
Develop procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, managing vendor relationships and ensuring transparency.
Oversee the delivery of essential corporate services, including facilities management, IT, legal services, and administrative support, ensuring operational efficiency.
Identify and manage financial and operational risks, implementing strategies to protect the organsation’s assets and ensure continuity of operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACCA, ICAN, ANAN) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance and corporate services, with at least 10 years in proven senior management role within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
Experience in financial leadership, corporate governance, and human resources management.
Strong financial acumen, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
