Do you want to work with Sustainability/ESG and influence change in an international company? Do you want a central role in sustainability reporting where you will have a great opportunity to influence the sustainability/ESG work in a world-leading technology-driven company within subsea?
Deep Ocean is strengthening its corporate team and is now looking for a dedicated and committed ESG Controller for a newly created position. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference and at the same time be a central player in the further development of the Group's overall sustainability strategy and reporting. Furthermore, you will be an integral part of both the sustainability team in Stavanger and group finance in Oslo to further strengthen and integrate the annual report disclosures in-line with the CSRD framework. The position will report directly to the Group Sustainability Manager in Stavanger where the position will be located. Periodic travel between Stavanger and Oslo will be expected.
Tasks
Contribute to the implementation of the company's sustainability/ESG reporting and ensure that it is in-line with current regulations.
Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure reliable and complete data collection across all Sustainability/ESG and financial reporting modules.
Contribute to the analysis and disclosure of sustainability data as well as the preparation of quarterly and annual reports in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.
Contribute to the implementation of ESRS/CSRD as well as follow-up of reporting across functions
Be a supporter of our various Sustainability/ESG initiatives and activities.
Qualifications required
Degree in environmental/sustainability studies, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Competency and/or experience with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, CDP or CSRD is an advantage.
Strong skills in working with and interpreting data to inform sustainability insights and reporting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Personal qualities that are important for success in the position:
Fluency in English: Proficient in both written and spoken English.
Analytical & inquisitive: you are detail-oriented, enjoy working with data and statistics, and have a strong analytical mindset.
Proactive & improvement-focused: you identify opportunities for improvement and work proactively to implement solutions.
