Danske Bank Large Corporates & Institutions (LC&I) is looking for a skilled, proactive and motivated Business Risk Officer in Oslo with knowledge of and/or keen interest in LC&I market area.
LC&I serve Danske Bank’s largest corporate and institutional customers, as well as customers trading through Danske Bank Markets. LC&I provides clients with innovative and market-leading products and services – including a variety of products in areas such as M&A activities, equities trading, bond issuance, FX and derivatives.
The goal of Business Controls and Product Management, LC&I Nordics is to identify, assess, and mitigate Operational Risk and Regulatory Risk in LC&I in close collaboration with business and other stakeholders (incl. Compliance and Audit).
You will join our Business Controls and Product Management, LC&I Nordics team, which is responsible for Business Controls and Product Management in Finland, Sweden and Norway.
This particular position is primarily located in Oslo, Norway and hence your main responsibility will be to part of the LC&I’s 1 st line of defense in Norway. However, position can also be located in our offices in Stockholm or Helsinki depending on hired candidate’s preferable location. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Engage with stakeholders and evolving responsibilities
As the Business Risk Officer, you will be part of the 1st line of defense primarily in Norway, supporting the local business and collaborate closely with stakeholders from many parts of LC&I globally. The role of the 1st line risk area in LC&I is to further develop and strengthen overall risk picture, ranging from product approval, incident management, regulatory implementation and controls. In addition, you will contribute to work of various risk committees and councils in Norway Branch.
As the Business Risk Officer you will act as a key contact person and adviser to business stakeholders on the identification, assessment and management of key risks within their areas. Furthermore, you will act as a contact person for other control teams on all Norway LC&I related risk matters, and be their sparring partner on day-to-day risk issues, business control development and procedure improvement.
Qualifications
As your team will support the local business, the Business Risk Officer should have good understanding of the LC&I business in Norway, in addition to knowledge about the Norwegian market practice and regulatory requirements.
Experience from the operational risk management area will be a strong advantage for a prospective candidate and since you will be part of a global team, it is a requirement that you have good English communication skills. Norwegian language skills are an advantage.
You preferably have a degree in economics, law or finance discipline (or equivalent). 3+ years of experience working with risk, compliance or other related experience in LC&I/banking environment, consultancy and/or law firm is seen as an advantage.
