Program Summary
KBR proudly serves as the performance-based contractor for Base Operations Services at the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System in Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo, Poland. Commissioned in September, the facility emphasizes our commitment to supporting key military infrastructures. Its strategic location northwest of Warsaw, near the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, positions it strategically in European defense.
Our involvement in NSF Redzikowo includes comprehensive Base Operations Services, showcasing KBR's expertise in managing complex military facilities. The base incorporates essential infrastructure, such as administrative offices, housing, dining facilities, security buildings, and athletic facilities—all maintained to the highest standards.

Its strategic location, approximately 225 miles northwest of Warsaw and in proximity to the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, positions it at a pivotal point in European defense.

Despite initial operational delays, the project is nearing completion, achieving significant milestones under our stewardship. The base incorporates essential infrastructure, including administrative offices, housing, dining facilities, security buildings, and athletic facilities—all maintained and operated to the highest standards.

The KBR team at NSF Redzikowo comprises 127 dedicated professionals, each bringing specialized skills and expertise to the project. Location and Infrastructure:
Situated at a former military and civilian airfield, NSF Redzikowo's infrastructure is tailored to support the unique requirements of the Aegis Ashore system. The facility includes a fire-control radar deckhouse, an associated Aegis command, control, and communications suite, and several launch modules for interceptor missiles. This setup mirrors the successful deployment of a similar system in Deveselu, Romania, highlighting the replicable and scalable nature of our operational expertise.

Job Summary
Working with minimal supervision, this role involves diagnosing, repairing, and conducting preventive maintenance on a wide range of building and facility systems. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, carpentry structures, power generation equipment, and other mechanical systems. Specializations may include electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and power generation. The position requires using diagnostic tools and instruments to assess system performance, performing general repairs, determining replacement parts, and occasionally conducting welding and carpentry work. Tasks are based on blueprints and schematics, and the necessary skills are typically acquired through 2-3 years of experience in building trades and maintenance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and operations following established guidelines; coordinate with supervisors and department leads.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various building systems, including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, power generation, and plumbing.
- Provide technical support to ensure the readiness of facilities and equipment; perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety and maximize uptime.
- Identify spare parts requirements and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
- Conduct repairs involving mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry tasks; document all maintenance activities accurately.
- Quickly troubleshoot and repair equipment issues; interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
- Occasionally perform cutting and welding using appropriate equipment.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Experience in electrical, electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing maintenance.
- Handle administrative duties, including preparing and submitting detailed reports for equipment repair and maintenance activities.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives; collaborate with other departments to coordinate major repair activities.
- Communicate effectively about equipment issues and breakdowns; inform management of any technical problems affecting safe operations.
- Foster a safe and respectful work environment; ensure proper use of work permits and isolation systems.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
- Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- Must possess security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain.
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 – 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Previous electro/mechanical repair and maintenance experience.
- Must be proficient with computers and have a familiarity with operational and maintenance publications

- NAVFAC Experience
- Graduate of Trade School or University where knowledge and training acquired are applicable to job requirements
