Initially known for producing goods for top brands such as Worten, Kneissel, and Becken, our flagship brand, MEI, now proudly represents renowned names like Clatronic, Proficook, Proficare, Bomann, and Lenco.
Our product portfolio includes an extensive range of heating and cooling systems, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, and microwaves, showcasing our unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence. Following an exceptional 300% growth in e-commerce sales in 2022, we are rapidly expanding our presence across Europe and Africa.
In addition to our core electronics line, our product assortment spans over 20,000 items, including household essentials, gardening tools, sports gear, seasonal accessories, toys, automotive products, and licensed articles. We focus on a wide array of target groups, from large-scale distributors and resellers to chain stores, warehouses, and retail shops.
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader to head our B2C division as an independent profit center. If you thrive on competition, innovation, and leadership, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.
Role: B2C Director (Independent Profit Center)
Responsibilities:
1. Profit Center Objectives
o Drive revenue growth and profitability in the B2C market with specific targets for year-on-year market share growth.
o Monitor and control costs, balancing marketing, operations, and customer service expenses to maintain strong profitability.
o Create healthy competition with the B2B division, aiming to outperform them in revenue and growth.
2. Sales & Marketing Strategy
o Develop and execute market penetration strategies in Europe and Africa.
o Focus on digital and omnichannel sales, expanding our e-commerce platforms, online marketplaces, and seamless integration across all sales channels.
o Drive customer acquisition campaigns, build loyalty programs, and enhance customer retention to maximize lifetime value.
o Build and elevate MEI Europa’s brand, leveraging our rich history and reputation for quality.
3. Leadership & Team Management
o Lead B2C operations independently, building and managing a team aligned with the division’s vision.
o Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performance team in sales, marketing, and customer service.
o Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, supply chain, and digital teams to align strategies and meet B2C goals.
4. Operational Excellence
o Oversee the supply chain, ensuring stock levels, distribution channels, and delivery systems meet customer needs.
o Manage €2M in inventory and €500K in spare parts stock to optimize stock turnover and reduce carrying costs.
o Explore opportunities for digital and physical store expansion.
5. Digital & E-Commerce Transformation
o Lead digital sales efforts, prioritizing online marketplaces, social media sales, and an enhanced website experience.
o Leverage data analytics to inform decisions based on consumer behavior, sales trends, and market demand.
o Ensure an exceptional end-to-end customer experience from marketing to after-sales support.
6. Product & Market Expansion
o Collaborate with product development to innovate and launch products tailored to specific consumer segments.
o Expand the B2C business into new European and African markets.
o Form strategic partnerships with retail chains and e-commerce platforms to increase market presence.
7. KPIs and Metrics
o Set ambitious sales and revenue targets, with quarterly and yearly goals.
o Focus on improving Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Lifetime Value (LTV).
o Maintain healthy gross margins and ensure efficient cost management.
o Monitor Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) and Net Promoter Score (NPS), continually improving the customer experience.
8. Innovation and Competitiveness
o Regularly benchmark against competitors, ensuring our B2C strategies remain innovative and future-focused.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring agility in marketing, operations, and customer service to adapt to market shifts.
Requirements:
· Proven track record in leading B2C operations, preferably in the electronics or consumer goods sector.
· Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to foster an independent profit center.
· Expertise in digital transformation and omnichannel sales strategies.
· Data-driven decision-making skills and a strong focus on customer experience.
· Experience in market expansion across Europe and Africa is a plus.
