Crane Operator
Doha

- Operate cranes such as mobile, cranes to lift, move, and place materials or equipment.
- Control crane movement according to signals and instructions from ground personnel or radio commands.
- Maneuver loads safely and accurately to designated locations.
- Conduct daily and routine inspections of the crane before operation to ensure it is in safe and working condition.
- Check hydraulic systems, brakes, cables, pulleys, and other components for wear and damage.
- Document and report any issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Assess the weight of loads to ensure they are within crane capacity.
- Attach and secure loads using slings, chains, shackles, or other rigging equipment.
- Use load charts and lifting capacity information to ensure safe lifting and compliance with guidelines.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols, including OSHA guidelines and company-specific policies.
- Set up safety zones around the crane to protect personnel and equipment.
- Maintain awareness of overhead obstructions, underground utilities, and other potential hazards.
- Communicate effectively with riggers, signalers, and other crew members using hand signals, radios, or other methods.
- Follow instructions precisely and clarify any uncertainties before proceeding with a lift.
- Inform crew members and supervisors of any hazards, equipment limitations, or safety concerns.
- Perform routine maintenance on the crane, such as lubrication and minor repairs, to keep it in good working condition.
- Keep records of all maintenance activities and report any major repair needs to maintenance personnel.
- Complete logs and reports on crane operation, load weights, and maintenance activities as required by company procedures.
- Keep track of inspection and service schedules and ensure compliance with certification requirements.
- Identify and diagnose issues with crane operation or load handling.
- Take immediate corrective action if operational problems arise, such as stopping the lift and notifying supervisors.
Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
