Demi Chef de Partie

The Demi Chef de Partie will work closely with the Chef de Partie in maintaining a high-level food quality as per the culinary standards, whilst following menu specifications and recipe formats. He must be able to run a section of the kitchen while ensuring that it runs according to the performance standards established by the Executive Chef according to the standards and procedures.
Your duties will consist of but will not be limited to:
1. Maintains high level of food quality as per culinary standards, whilst following menu specifications and recipe formats by the Chef de Partie.
2. Prepare in advance food, beverage, material, and equipment needed for the service, cook and serve dishes according to the restaurants’ menu.
3. Instruct and guidethe kitchen helpers, including Commis and Stewards.
4. Organize and set up the assigned section of the kitchen as efficiently as possible to increase speed and maximize productivity.
5. Ensure that all dishes from the kitchen section are prepared consistently and accordingly to standard recipes.
6. Lead as a good example to the Commis through passionate and practical approach.
7. Remains visible in the assigned kitchen section and assists team members in all aspects of the operation.
8. Recycle whatever is possible, enforce cost-saving measures to control food stock and food cost.
9. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in all areas of the kitchen.
10. Nurture friendly relationship with customers to increase loyalty and boost the restaurants’ reputation.
11. Assist and participate in maintaining requirements for wastage and cost control.
12. Awareness of the requirements issued by the Ministry of Public Health when preparing and delivering foods.
13. Ensure compliance with the restaurants’ security, health, and safety in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations in Qatar.
14. Ensure to follow Qatar shelf-life standards.
15. Maintain a courteous attitude when communicating with co-workers or subordinates.
Skills:
· Exceptional level of cooking prowess.
· Strong knowledge in food preparation, presentation and preservation knowledge is an essential.
· Positively spirited and passionate about food.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
· Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays).
· Ability to communicate well in English.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Committed to work with the service team to deliver an amazing guest experience.
Qualifications:
· Must have a proven work experience in the same field.
· Must be locally available in Qatar.
· Must have a valid QID and NOC.
