Devops Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Dev Ops Engineer to join our team and help streamline our development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both software development and system administration, playing a key role in our infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows. You will be responsible for automating and optimizing our operations, ensuring the smooth deployment of applications, and maintaining the scalability and reliability of our systems. This is a full-time position with the hybrid working environment, but the candidate MUST be based in Qatar.
Required qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in Dev Ops
Strong understanding of Linux or Unix operating systems.
Knowledge of Version Control Systems, particularly experience with Git and platforms like Git Hub, Git Lab, or Bitbucket for version control.
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Shell scripting to automate tasks.
Familiarity with Cloud Native Platforms, such as AWS, Azure, etc.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and managing containerized applications.
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, Git Lab CI, Circle CI, etc.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Fluentd, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
Understanding of basic networking concepts like DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.

Preferred qualifications :

Familiarity with large-scale distributed software systems in the context of storage and networking.
Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Dev Ops Engineer, or Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert) can be a plus.
Understanding of database management of SQL and No SQL databases can be beneficial.
Awareness of security practices in the Dev Ops pipeline, including managing secrets, access control, and compliance.
