### *Job Description:*
We are seeking a skilled and experienced *Drive Test Engineer* to join our telecom team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting drive tests to measure and analyze the performance of mobile networks, ensuring quality, and suggesting optimizations for improved network performance.
### *Key Responsibilities:*
- *Drive Testing:* Perform drive tests using tools such as TEMS, Nemo, or similar software to collect data on mobile network performance, including signal strength, coverage, and quality.
- *Data Collection:* Capture data on various network parameters like call drops, handovers, signal quality (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR), throughput, and latency.
- *Data Analysis:* Analyze collected data to identify areas of improvement in network performance. Troubleshoot and identify potential issues in network coverage, capacity, or quality.
- *Reporting:* Generate detailed reports on the drive test results, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for optimization.
- *Collaboration:* Work closely with RF optimization engineers and other teams to provide insights and recommendations based on the data analysis.
- *Benchmarking:* Conduct benchmarking tests for competitors' networks and compare them with the company’s network to identify strengths and weaknesses.
- *Post-Processing:* Use post-processing tools like Actix, Nemo Analyzer, or similar to analyze drive test data and generate reports for optimization and troubleshooting.
- *Customer Complaints:* Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to network coverage and quality by performing targeted drive tests.
- *Testing of New Sites:* Perform testing on new network sites to ensure they meet the required performance standards before they go live.
- *Technology Testing:* Work on various telecom technologies such as GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G to evaluate their performance in different environments (urban, rural, highways).
### *Key Qualifications:*
- *Education:* Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- *Experience:* 2+ years of experience in drive testing and network optimization, preferably in telecom.
- *Technical Skills:*
- Proficiency with drive test tools such as TEMS, Nemo, or similar.
- Experience with post-processing tools like Actix, Nemo Analyzer, or others.
- Understanding of telecom technologies such as GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G.
- Familiarity with network KPIs and metrics such as RSRP, SINR, CQI, and throughput.
- *Soft Skills:*
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
- *Other Requirements:*
- Willingness to travel extensively for drive tests.
