Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Kitchen Cook and Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, experience in cooking and butchering, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of menu items, ensuring quality and safety standards, and assisting in the overall kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Butcher meats and poultry, including cutting, trimming, and grinding.
- Ensure all food is prepared and stored safely and in compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Handle customer special requests and dietary restrictions with care.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking and butchering techniques.
- Previous experience as a cook or butcher in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for food quality.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
