FIELD OPERATIONS (IDD EL-SHARGI)
Primary purpose of job
The Mechanical supervisor is directly responsible for the mechanical team. Establishes short-term and long-term priorities
to maximize safe and efficient delivery and gives direction and support to the team to deliver business objectives. Is a
member of the platform maintenance leaders and has a key role in planning, maintenance management, shutdowns and
personal and facility safety.
Experience & Skills
• Minimum of 10 years relevant hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, preferably with intervention in the
maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment utilized in offshore installations, diesel engines for electric power
generation, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, reciprocating and screw type air compressors, cranes, gas
compressors, etc.

• Knowledgeable in alignment of rotating equipment, vibration monitoring routines and interpretation.

• Supervise Mechanical Technicians during their day-to-day maintenance activities offshore and provide mentoring support

as and when required.

• High communication and supervisory skills.

Education
B.Sc. in a relevant Engineering discipline with an aptitude for understanding in technical mechanical matters for industrial
applications, gas and air compressors, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, valves, gearboxes, diesel engines
or Trade Certificates or diploma granted by an officially recognized educational institution in the relevant country.
