Mobile Crane Operator - Logistic Division (Only Local Candidates with NOC Available)
Knowledge of lever and pedal control, driving cranes to the worksites, setting up the manufacturer’s operator’s manual, inspecting the crane for safety daily and operating the crane under general supervision. Load and unload cargo. Responsible for basic equipment maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times. General organizing and cleaning of the vehicle inside & outside and Yard parking area. Adherence to strict safety standards established by the Company.
Technical responsibilites :
(1) Be aware of the load weight before proceeding the lifting activity.
(2) Ensuring compliance with the safety standards and transportation department SOPs.
(3) Inspect chains, slings, ropes, cables, hooks and lifting gear for flaws and damage such as cracks, wear, corrosion, and report defects.
(4) With Third party Training certificate in Safe Driving.
(5) Must hold a Qatar Driving License and certificate of competence and previous experience in Oil & Gas / Logistic / Transportation sectors
(6) Should be fully conversant with recognized traffic signals and ensure that all riggers are familiar with the signals that shall be used.
(7) Shall ensure that the equipment that he is working with function correctly, properly maintained and that all maintenance activities are properly documented before commencing each shift, the equipment / Crane operator must perform the relevant checks to ensure that equipment is safe to continue the operation.
(8) Be fully knowledgeable with the lifting signaling.
(9) Inspecting the crane to ensure its safety.
(10) Performing routine maintenance.
(11) Cleaning and maintaining the crane hoisting mechanism.
(12) Using lever and pedal controls efficiently.
(13) Must have Five (05) years’ experience in operating heavy equipment of the similar capacity specified in contract.
General responsibilites :
(1) In case of unsafe situation, stop the lifting operation, then check and ensure that it is safe continue the work.
(2) When lifting a load, ensure it is well secured and the brakes function of the lifting equipment is working properly.
(3) Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods.
(4) Follow signals from assigned signalman when maneuvering the trailer into loading / offloading areas.
(5) Keep all involved persons in the working area fully aware of the loading / unloading activity.
(6) Must have minimum secondary level of education.
(7) Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions in the Safe Driving.
(8) Age between 30 and 45 years old.
(9) Able to speaks and writes in English.
(10) Physically fit with good hearing and eyesight. Able to judge distances and work at heights.
(11) Ensure that working area is clear of any unforeseen potential hazards before starting the operation.
(12) Operating the crane under supervision.
(13) Carrying tools for running repairs.
(14) Understanding and executing the job billing process.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR2,800.00 per month
