Ground & Rail Transport Purchaser

- Collect full data about actual suppliers of the company;
- Put in place, negotiate and steer up suppliers’ contracts, transport & logistic services purchasing, together with the team;
- Continuously updates and monitors the panel of referenced suppliers by using CMS (Carrier Management System);
- Organize & manage procurement tenders via e-auction platforms or directly via e-mail;
- Continuously updates and monitors the contracts in the purchasing database ;
- Monitor and report the activity impacting the spent mass from his/her responsibility;
- Support tender centers in requests for quotation and supplies with costs of transport;
- Constantly seek competitiveness opportunities linked to purchasing;
- Analyze the transport market (suppliers, competitors, equipment, type of trailers);
- Assess the impact of flow variations on the organization of deliveries or dispatches;
- Identify all parameters that can influence transport costs;
- Assess the performance of a transport solution;
- Analyze and compare purchase offers for the purchase of transport and logistic services ;
- Select transport suppliers capable of giving the greatest satisfaction according to the defined criteria (price, quality, feasibility, deadlines);
- Negotiate transport services with suppliers within a pre-established framework;
- Explain and justify a refusal while maintaining good relations;
- Formulate an objection in a positive manner by proposing an alternative.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Good negotiation & organizational skills;
- Knowledge/ experience in the field of international road transportation and knowledge of carriers’ market from Romania;
- Extrovert and open-minded personality, with initiative and problem solving orientation;
- Hard working and enthusiastic person;
- Attention to details and ability to use different IT systems, good mastering of MS Office;
- Good level of English Language;
- Ability to develop B2B relations.
