Job Description
The Account Manager will sit within the Digital and Data department within CSM/Wasserman Middle East, located in Saudi Arabia.
Our key focus as a department is to combine digital and data with the passion of sport to deliver performance marketing solutions that enhance the fan experience. We are a team of passionate, creative, and innovative experts from all around the globe who are revolutionising the digital sponsorship industry.

We are looking for a bright, energetic and creative thinker based in Saudi Arabia with attention to detail and shows initiative each and every day. Someone who is enthusiastic about digital marketing and able to work both independently and as part of a remote team (in the UAE, UK and Hong Kong) and excited to be a part of driving our business forward in a really exciting market.
This role will report into an Account Director based in the Middle East region.

DIGITAL EXPERTISE REQUIRED:
- Digital Marketing Platforms: an understanding of the digital platforms commonly used for the delivery of fan engagement campaigns such as Salesforce, AWS, Google Analytics, Confluence and Jira; an understanding of the key social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, Tik Tok), streaming platforms (You Tube etc).
- Data Analytics Skills: Proficiency in data analytics is crucial for understanding fan behavior and engagement metrics. This includes the ability to interpret data from various sources like digital campaign results, website analytics, social media insights, and email marketing platforms to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- First-Party Data Capture and Management: Knowledge of how to capture and manage first-party data. This involves understanding the importance of GDPR (or relevant in each market) obtaining consent from fans to collect their data etc, as well as utilising tools such as CRM systems to organise and analyse the data in a compliant manner.
- Personalisation and Targeting: An understanding of how to leverage first-party data to personalise fan experiences and target specific audience segments. This could involve tailoring marketing messages, offers, and content to match the preferences and behaviors of different fan groups via a variety of digital channels (e.g. e DM / Whatsapp / social)
- Fan engagement tools and Content Creation: The ability to ideate and deliver engaging digital fan engagement tools and content is essential for driving sustained fan engagement. This includes producing competitions, campaigns, games, graphics, articles, and other multimedia content that resonates with fans and encourages interaction.
- Digital Rights and Sponsorship Activation: Understanding how to effectively utilise digital rights and assets (for Brands or RHs) and activate sponsorships online is important for maximising revenue opportunities and increasing fan engagement. This requires an understanding of client objectives and could include the activation strategy, development and delivery of targeted campaigns, competitions, sponsored content, and promotions across various digital platforms to help deliver against the client objectives.
- Emerging Technologies and Digital Trends: Staying updated on emerging technologies and digital trends in the sports industry is vital for maintaining a competitive edge. This includes keeping abreast of developments in areas such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), live streaming, gamification and changes to the digital ecosystem (e.g. the demise of cookies); it is important to understand how these changes can be leveraged to enhance the fan experience and make the sports industry more commercially sustainable and accessible for fans.
- Key day to day contact with clients, (brands or rights holders) and our partners in the region
- Clear understanding of client KPIs and budget parameters
- Leading the reporting and evaluation on each campaign and activation responsible for
- Strive to meet client KPI's and ensure all activity is effectively measured
- Deliver clear and concise internal and external presentations/reports
- Develop communication strategies for client's campaigns
- Manage Content Management Systems for all app and web properties for our clients
- Continually seek cost saving measures and opportunities to drive efficiencies across the business
- Supporting the team with new opportunities to grow business in the region
- Work across additional client programmes and activations as required
- Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends specific to the region and any market nuances the D&D team as a whole should be aware of
- Feeding into new business/pitch responses in market, in terms of content and feeding into scopes of work and costings documents
- Regular interactions with the D&D team in the UK to ensure client goals are managed consistently
- Demonstrate appropriate behaviours, conduct and professionalism in all inter-personal, written and verbal communications
- Track time and financial expenses on a day-to-day basis
- 2-3 years minimum of digital marketing experience in market – agency experience strongly preferred
- A strong understanding of current digital marketing landscape and trends across the region
- Clear, confident communicator with strong project management skills
- Organised and strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
- Ability to keep calm in a fast-paced environment with tight project deadlines
- Proficient with time tracking tools (e.g. Work Day)
- Understanding on CRM technology platforms (Salesforce, Mail Chimp, Iterable)
- Proficient in MS Excel - ability to structure and develop quantitative excel models and analysis to generate data-driven results and recommendations
