Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an Accountant in our Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regional headquarters office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.
Position Summary:
This Accountant position will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to closely monitor and prepare withholding tax (WHT) and value-added tax (VAT) for the firm’s Riyadh regional headquarter office. This position will also work on special projects and may receive ad hoc report requests from senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to effectively meet the needs of the various stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepares monthly WHT and VAT (input) data templates and share with the tax consultants for the WHT and VAT returns preparation purposes

Records and validates monthly vendor invoices in enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in line with the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia VAT regulations

Initiates and validates monthly vendor payments in ERP

Prepares monthly closing schedules related to accounts payable / accounts receivable, fixed assets and General Ledger

Prepares debit / credit card / petty cash reconciliations

Performs general ledger analysis and reconciliation of accounts

Develops, forecasts, and analyzes budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual expenditures

Prepares monthly standard reports

Abides by regulations and internal control processes and procedures

Liaises with internal and external auditors as needed
Skills & Competencies:

Basic knowledge of general accounting and tax principles, reporting standards, budgeting processes, and relevant legislation

Ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a time sensitive environment

Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks

High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively

Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation

Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
Qualifications & Prior Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

Minimum 3 years of related experience

Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly

Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
