Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count steel materials. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Forklifts: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move steel materials within the warehouse and production areas.
- Load and Unload Materials: Load and unload steel products from trucks and storage areas, ensuring accurate placement and secure stacking.
- Inventory Management: Use RF scanning equipment to track and manage inventory, ensuring accurate records of all materials moved.
- Safety Compliance: Perform daily safety checks on forklifts, report any defects, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Coordination: Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate the movement of materials and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Experience: Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry.
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification compliant with OSHA standards.
- Skills: Attention to detail, excellent physical condition, and familiarity with industrial equipment.
- Education: High school diploma or IT or equivalent.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety management and procedural documents.
