Industrial Security & Government Relations, Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage subordinates in Maaden PDE Unit, Security & Government affairs Manager including assigning work activities, monitoring workflow, and reviewing results.
  • Manage all Security & Government affairs aspects to provide secure environments for all direct hire, contractor, subcontractor employees and visitors within all Maaden ongoing project site and offices inside Saudi Arabia and outside of kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Manage all Security team members (direct hire & Security Contractors team) within all Maaden ongoing project site and offices inside Saudi Arabia and outside of kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Develop in Maaden PDE Unit, Security & Government affairs Manager, security strategies and plans in coordination with all concerned Organizations; and ensure providing the necessary support and advice for effective implementation.
  • Ensure that the security strategies and plans are continuously developed and updated in line with Maaden objectives, Saudi Arabian Government regulations and the industry best practices.
  • Develop and establish the Security Organization’s policies, procedures, guidelines, and instructions.
  • Manage and develop annual objectives and Key Performance Indicators for Maaden PDE Unit, Security & Government affairs Manager Dept.
  • Direct and coordinate investigations and surveillances of activities that violate established company policies/procedures and report the results of those efforts to the Management.
  • Manage and coordinate all security related tendering and contracting activities, including attending pre-tender meetings, answering any questions raised by Vendors and Contractors, solving technical problems, evaluating technical tenders, and ensuring compliance to contract conditions and specifications.
  • Ensure that all threats and risk areas are identified, and risk prevention plans are developed.
  • Act as a consultant on complex security engineering issues to ensure that construction projects and designs are in line with the Security standards and regulations.
  • Provide and conduct studies and analyses to evaluate, select and maintain the Company’s security systems and protection devices.
  • Provide technical expertise and engineering supervision on all industrial security related projects and research to develop creative and cost-effective corporate-wide security programs and solutions.
  • Lead the activities of preparation of security facilities and systems designs, processes and procedures and ensure the efficiency, adequacy, and conformance to Maaden objectives, Saudi Arabian Government regulations and the industry best practices.


4. Education - Experience - Qualifications

Minimum Education:
Bachelor degree in relevant field
Experience and Qualifications:
10+ Years of experience in relevant field
Government affairs:
  • Represent Ma’aden in key government bodies/ ministries, resolve any issues and respond to queries, monitor compliance to ensure that all Ma’aden processes are risk free and compliant with regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all Government regulations in areas of industrial Security projects.
  • Maintain close liaison with all government authorities related to EHSS projects.
  • Co-ordinate security issues with Ma’aden corporate industrial security Dept.

Industrial Security:
  • Provide expertise and support on all matters relating to physical security, risk identification and analysis, security awareness, crisis management and accidents investigations.
  • Communicate with line management on observations, findings, recommendations, and guidelines to be implemented to support a Secure working environment.

  • Ability to work with diverse populations and foster a cooperative team environment.
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus.
  • International work experience in remote camp environment

Other Details
  • Willingness to be away from home for lengthy period required.
  • Willingness to work internationally.
  • Willingness to work in remote location.
  • Must have valid passport, capable of meeting medical and background requirements to obtain Visa for Saudi Arabia.
