Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to join our team and oversee the selection, testing, and management of materials for large-scale water infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of materials science and engineering, with a proven track record in the water and power sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, select, and approve materials to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Conduct material inspections, tests, and quality assessments to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely material delivery and proper usage.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage material supply to ensure project timelines are met.
- Prepare detailed reports on material performance, quality control measures, and project outcomes.
- Resolve technical issues related to material quality and specifications during construction phases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in materials engineering, preferably in the water infrastructure or power sectors.
- Strong understanding of materials science, testing procedures, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
- Experience working on large-scale water transmission, treatment, or distribution projects.
- Certifications in Quality Management or Materials Testing (e.g., ISO certifications).
- Knowledge of environmental regulations related to material selection and disposal.
