This position will be based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and you will be a member of one of the most inspiring affiliate's business units. You will directly report to the Senior District Sales Manager.

The Position
As a product Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the business plan for your geographical area which will be the eastern region, with remote areas such as Al Ahsa and Hafar Al-Batin, to ensure that the company objectives and sales targets are achieved.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the national business plan by achieving targets through the implementation of marketing and promotion strategies aimed at effectively presenting and promoting Novo Nordisk product(s) to healthcare practitioners
- Take an entrepreneurial approach and you will be expected to operate with a high level of ownership
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding of customer needs
- Anticipate and adapt action plans to maximize opportunities and address challenges excelling in making things happen through diligent and timely follow-up
- Work across different external stakeholders including but not limited to Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians, pharmacists, and hospital management
Qualifications
On a personal level, we expect you to be a self-starter who can independently evaluate options and find solutions with minimal supervision. You have a strong aptitude for learning and can effectively communicate technical and scientific product information, as well as the value proposition for your products. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you're a strong influencer and an exceptional team player.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Hold a bachelor's degree in pharmacy with a valid Saudi Council License.
- Completed internships or training in pharmaceutical companies, with 0-2 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Experience in the rare disease therapy area will be a plus.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel; experience with sales data/call reporting software is a plus.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Possess a valid driving license and be willing to travel to remote areas once or twice per month.
About the Department
The Rare Disease Sales Team leads Novo Nordisk’s product portfolio in the field of RBDs “rare bleeding disorders” and REDs “rare endocrine disorders” in Saudi Arabia, which includes world-class therapies for the treatment of these rare diseases. As part of the team, you will be responsible for promoting Novo Nordisk products and have frontline exposure to our portfolio vision, business strategies, and critical market insights that drive our business forward. You will drive the Novo Nordisk portfolio strategy to ensure that the latest therapies and products reach the people who need them most.
