Context:
We are seeking a highly experienced Risk Manager to join a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in managing risks for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Risk Identification: Proactively identify potential project risks, including financial, operational, and safety risks.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments, using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
- Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize the impact of risks on the project.
- Risk Monitoring: Continuously monitor project risks and the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures. Update risk management plans as necessary.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular risk reports to project stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
- Compliance: Ensure that risk management practices comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, including ISO 31000 or AS4360.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to project team members on risk management processes and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project risks and the actions being taken to address them.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all risk management activities, including risk assessments, mitigation plans, and monitoring reports.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in risk management for large-scale infrastructure or mega projects, preferably in the transportation sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Risk Management Professional (RMP) and ISO 31000 or AS4360 certification.

Preferred Qualifications
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Arabic and English.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the regulatory and operational environment of Saudi Arabia.
- Project Management: Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
