Job Description: Service Engineer - Truck-Mounted Equipment and Machinery
Position: Service Engineer

Location: Saudi Arabia
Reports to: Service Manager
Job Summary: The Service Engineer will be responsible for conducting quality inspections on truck-mounted equipment and machinery, providing on-site service to customer equipment, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires technical knowledge in generators and, preferably, experience with hydraulic equipment. The Service Engineer will be the primary point of contact for ensuring that customers receive timely and effective service.

Job Summary: The Service Engineer will be responsible for conducting quality inspections on truck-mounted equipment and machinery, providing on-site service to customer equipment, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires technical knowledge in generators and, preferably, experience with hydraulic equipment. The Service Engineer will be the primary point of contact for ensuring that customers receive timely and effective service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Inspection:
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of truck-mounted equipment and machinery to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Identify potential issues during inspections and recommend corrective actions to prevent equipment failures.
- On-Site Service:
- Provide on-site service and repairs for customer equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs on a variety of equipment, with a focus on ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Customer Follow-Up:
- Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure their equipment is performing optimally and to address any concerns or issues they may have.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of their equipment.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Apply strong technical knowledge of generators to support inspections, service, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Utilize knowledge of hydraulic equipment to diagnose and repair systems as required.
- Stay updated on the latest technology and service techniques relevant to the brands and equipment the company represents.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Document all service activities, inspections, and repairs accurately in service reports.
- Communicate service findings to the Service Manager and collaborate with the team to ensure continuous improvement in service quality.
- Brand Representation:
- Represent the company and the brands it deals with in a professional manner while interacting with customers.
- Ensure that all service and repair work is completed to the high standards expected by both the company and the brands it represents.
- Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in service engineering, preferably with experience in truck-mounted equipment, machinery, and generators.
- Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of generators, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Knowledge of hydraulic equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with service procedures for truck-mounted equipment and machinery.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently on-site and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in using service and diagnostic tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
