Job Purpose
OT Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for performing activities with relevance to OT cybersecurity administration and maintenance to establish a secure OT environment. He works with corporate cybersecurity personnel, systems manufacturers and operational staff to implement secure system architectures, mitigate cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and perform routine activities related to the periodic review of OT systems and maintenance of security standards and procedures documentation.
Key Accountabilities
- Taking inventory of the organization's hardware & software assets and assessing those assets for security vulnerabilities, obsolescence, and other risks.
- Reviewing network architectures and determining if good practices are being followed (e.g., the “zones & conduits” concept, proper network segmentation, use of Industrial DMZ, etc.); and providing recommendations to comply with applicable cybersecurity framework, standards & Regulations.
- Reviewing security products utilized (e.g., firewalls, IDS, IPS) and determining if they are configured properly.
- Deploying network infrastructure devices (e.g., switches, routers, etc.), security appliances (e.g., firewalls, IDS, etc.), and virtualization solutions.
- Reviewing security policies, plans, and procedures; assessing network monitoring capabilities; analyzing system logs, security events, and packet captures to identify security threats; and providing recommendations to comply with applicable cybersecurity frameworks, standards & Regulations.
- Reviewing administrative, technical, and physical security controls and providing recommendations to mitigate the identified security risks.
- Performing vulnerability and risk assessments within manufacturing and critical infrastructure environments to identify security risks and threats and providing recommendation to remediate the identified issues.
- Participate in OT security incident response through all phases.
- Responding to all system and/or network security breaches.
- Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate data encryption and security controls.
- Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization to the topics related to Cybersecurity.
- Perform periodic maintenance of OT security infrastructure
- Establish security validation processes and assessment on OT assets for compliance against established baselines.
- Define & implement the patching and control needs of the organization's OT system and perform prioritization of activities
- Establish authentication and identification rules across devices and users to drive cybersecurity objectives within the OT environment
- Assess in promoting cybersecurity knowledge and awareness within the organization.
- Recommend security products, services and procedures to enhance OT system architecture designs
- Develop & Implement Database management system & database security, in accordance to applicable relevant Standards and regulations.
- Develop & Implement System management & system security, in accordance to applicable relevant Standards and regulations.
- Develop & Implement endpoint management & endpoint security, in accordance to applicable relevant Standards and regulations.
- Develop & Implement Data management & data security, in accordance to applicable relevant Standards and regulations.
- Develop & Implement Identity & access management, in accordance to applicable relevant Standards and regulations.
- Develop & Implement threat and vulnerability management, in accordance to applicable relevant Standards and regulations.
- Develop & Implement information management and information security, in accordance to applicable relevant Standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor Science Degree in Electronics/Computer/Software/Cybersecurity/IT or Equivalent.
- Min 3-5 years’ experience in similar filed
- Worked on different IT/OT solutions such as Domain controllers, AV, network monitoring, SIEM solutions. Thorough knowledge and ability to configure network devices, good understanding of all ICS major systems like DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI. Knowledge of all OT Cybersecurity local/international standards and regulatory controls and guidelines.
