Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Building Systems Management:

Oversee and manage the operation and maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, chiller, cooling tower, transformer, genset and security systems.
Ensure that all building systems operate safely, efficiently and meet safety and performance standards; and
Weekly update to Head, Corporate Office Services and Executive Manager, Office of the Group President and CEO


2. Maintenance and Repairs:

Develop and implement preventive & proactive maintenance schedules for all building systems and equipment.
Coordinate and supervise repair work, both in-house and with external contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions; and
Respond to and manage emergency repairs as needed with utmost safety in place.

3. Project Management:

Manage facility improvement/enhancement/replacement projects, including system upgrades, replacements, enhancements, and new installations; and
Develop project plans, budgets, and master schedules of all maintenance regime for the year; monitor progress and ensure completion within scope, time, and budget constraints.

4. Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, safety standards and are also in accordance with HSSE (Health, Safety and Environment) guidelines and best practices; and
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments; implement corrective actions to address any safety concerns.

5. Energy Management:

Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings and sustainability improvements.
Implement energy-efficient practices and technologies to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain building legal records, documentations and drawings/layouts with the most accurate records;
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and building operations;
Prepare and present reports on building performance, maintenance schedules, and project progress to management.

7. Team Coordination:

Coordinate with other departments and external vendors to address facility-related needs and issues.


Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building management or facilities engineering, with a focus on commercial or industrial properties.
  • Strong understanding of building systems and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in overseeing facility improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and energy management practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and timely reporting to Head, Corporate Office Services and Executive Manager, Office of the Group President and CEO
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in building management or facilities engineering (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Professional Engineer (PE), Fire Safety Manager (FSM)) are advantageous.
