Head of Accounting and Tax

Due to business needs, we are now recruiting a Head of Accounting and Tax to be part of the Accounting team for expansion.
The Duties of Head of Accounting and Tax:
- To manage a team of 5 accountants with a large client base in industries such as manufacturing, research, retail, construction, property, oil & gas, charities, investment, metals, design, consulting, and start-ups.
- To ensure that we provide accurate information to our clients and the local authorities so that all their statutory obligations are met; these includes filing tax returns with IRAS and Financial Statements with ACRA
- Bookkeeping and oversee daily accounting operations, including month-end closing procedures, audits, and annual reporting for a portfolio of blue-chip clients.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and forecast cash flow to maintain financial stability.
- Manage payroll operations and assist in budgeting and cost analysis.

Prepare and file corporation tax, employer tax, and GST returns.
Desired Experience
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel, XERO, MYOB, SAP, Payday and any other accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects to meet tight deadlines.
- Diploma/degree in accounting with minimum of 8-10 years of full spectrum accounting and tax compliance experience, preferably from related industry.
- CPA / ACCA or its equivalents is a plus.
