Ingredient & System Specialist (Contract) – Specialized Nutrition

About the jobDanone Specialized Nutrition Division (SN) puts priority and very strong commitment to ensure stringent quality standards & regulatory compliance, having very sensitive consumer in the heart of our business.

Specification Management & Compliance organization ensures strategic and sustainable ingredient management; take accountability for raw material specifications compliance globally for the SN division; enhance efficiency in Specification management by implementing new ways of working across Strategic supplier development, Quality, R&D and Supply points. The Specification Management organization enhances expertise and seniority within the Specification teams worldwide, to drive the process of specifications with high quality standard in a cross-functional environment.

Primary Overview

Supporting raw material monitoring programs which include sample management and results tracking

Implementation of Cybele in AMEA

Drive internal discussion to finalize nutrient matrix of dairy and plant-based proteins ingredients

Part of Global team SN Dairy Ingredients

Ensure full food safety and regulatory compliance of Specialized Nutrition Ingredient specifications used in Danone factories in the region, to ensure highest standards of finished products for customers

Build and maintain effective working relationship with internal (Purchasing, Quality and R&D teams) and external partners (suppliers, technology partners) for excellence in execution

Key Responsibilities

1. Supporting the management and implementation of raw material monitoring program in the AMEA region - Identify the key ingredients and parameters to be included in the program

Steer the sample management of the program to ensure planned raw materials reaches the third-party lab
Ensures that the testing is carried out according to plan
Managing purchase orders and invoices for analysis

2. Cybele: Integration of SAP/Artemis to new system, Optiva

Verification of current data in Artemis has been fully integrated into Optiva
To close gaps (if any) between Artemis and Optiva
Main contact point for any gaps/improvement by specification stakeholder

3. Drive internal discussion to finalize nutrient matrix of dairy and plant-based proteins ingredients

To decide nutrient parameters that are not mandatory for the ingredient through literature research and testing results
Coordinate with specification portfolio owners and product development team to finalize on non-mandatory parameters
Documentation of all literature research, results and discussion with full traceability

About you

Bachelor’s degree in food science or related fields is preferred
At least 2 years of experience in dairy ingredients, dairy conversion processes/technologies, dairy cost drivers and regulation in nutrition/food industry
Preferably Dairy specifications development experience with a strong focus on material quality, food safety and regulatory compliance on a global scale
Experience in Artemis/SAP/Optiva systems and Power BI is a plus
Excellent team working and communication skills in a non-hierarchical, cross functional and highly international environment
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Ability to work in a multi - cultural dynamic environment
Detail-oriented is a must
