Your Role
Gensler Singapore is seeking an Intern to support our workplace strategy team for a period of minimally 3 months with the possibility of a permanent conversation. The role will focus on meeting and exceeding our client’s goals and objectives regarding the development of innovative and integrated workplace solutions to improve business performance. Gensler’s workplace services are provided along a continuum from initial data collection to transformative strategies. Our interaction with clients begins at the outset of the client engagement and extends through post occupancy evaluations. The successful candidate will assist the Consulting Practice Leader to participate actively in developing client relationships, tenders, delivering projects and following through with client’s post-occupancy.
What You Will Do
  • Facilitate strategic conversations to connect the business objectives of the organization with the project goals to develop future workplace strategies.
  • Discover and leverage internal and external research, benchmarks and trends to facilitate client discussions about the future of their work place.
  • Facilitate information gathering activities in the form of surveys, observations, focus groups and workshops to engage with clients and teams to set direction for the future of the workplace.
  • Synthesize and interpret information, create presentations, develop workplace strategies to support the research, trends and voice of the client to both challenge and address their needs for the future of the workplace.
  • Prepare and deliver influential story telling graphic presentations and information graphics branded to the client.
  • Support Gensler sustainability goals. Especially on topics relevant to your day-to-day duties.
  • Engage and collaborate with the larger team on sustainability efforts and initiatives.
  • Research and implement ways to optimize our internal workflow environmental impact.

Your Qualifications
  • At least a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in design related discipline
  • A blend of both analytic and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to problem-find and problem-solve, formulate cultural and user insights and develop strategic solutions
  • Experience in change management (and subject matter expertise in change management theory and methodologies) or an allied field will be favorably considered
  • Ability to understand form and design language but equally be engaged in exploring broad, undefined problem areas and be able to articulate points-of-view about relevant client challenges
  • Ability to clearly articulate concepts and ideas in easily understood terms by non-experts is critical
  • Experience in implementing flexible working strategies is highly desired
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and be proactive in partnering with colleagues with various levels and types of experience to deliver strategic services to clients
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (I,e, Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, etc..)
  • A proven track record of communicating at a high level: drawing insights from users and cultural trends, creating frameworks, expressing compelling solutions
  • Good presentation skills are required
  • An acute understanding of the value of design in supporting successful businesses outcomes and organizational transformation
  • Basic understanding of sustainable design and operations is preferred.
