Our litigation department invites capable and highly motivated individuals to apply for the position of SECRETARY. There are 2 positions open.
Requirements:
- Litigation experience in legal firms preferred
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Meticulous, careful and accurate
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Self-motivated, independent and able to work with minimal supervision
- Positive working attitude and a team player
- Detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to lawyers such as preparation of bundles of documents, updating records and monitoring timelines
- Maintaining lawyers’ files by organising, managing, filing and archiving documents
- Preparing documents, such as letters, bills and court documents
- Maintaining the lawyers’ calendars by recording and monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings and filing requirements and scheduling of meetings
- Reviewing, reading and drafting basic correspondence and legal documents
- Other ad hoc tasks as directed
