Maintenance Technician (WDA) - Two Years Contract

The Maintenance Technician organizes, performs engineering and maintenance activities related to the installation, modifications, troubleshooting, repairs, calibrations and maintenance of equipment I system to ensure that they are safe, efficiently, reliable and meet regulatory and production requirements. Other engineering activities include maintaining spares and parts storage, operation of utilities supplies and up-keeping of facilities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Main Responsibilities:
- Assists team to complete work activities timely, efficiently and satisfactorily.
- Follow up and continue with the previous shift or day incomplete work.
- Collates and reports the team shift or day activities to the team lead.
- Provides simple troubleshooting and diagnostic of equipment failure to determine the root cause and perform immediate corrective actions.
- Standby for any emergency repair after office hours, weekends, and public holidays
- Operates and maintains Utilities or Production support equipment efficiently and reliably to support production activities.
- Performs and coordinates utilities shutdown, start-up, swing over, and equipment servicing and inspection.
- Identifies, executes, and reports improvement to routine work activities.
- Assists in the improvement to enhance equipment or system efficiency, reduce energy cost/usage and other cost saving/avoidance projects
- Performs jobs assigned by Supervisor pertaining to installation, modification, fabrication, testing, servicing and repairs of equipment with adherence to site change control procedures or minor projects.
- Perform chemical cleaning, Gasket and Diaphragm replacement activities and complete all the activities timely.
- Assists in performing testing, commissioning, qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) activities
- Participates in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) improvement initiatives (i.e., audits, training, etc.)
- Performs corrective and preventive maintenance for the MEI systems and facilities to ensure efficient running of equipment (e.g. checking line components, servicing of sensors, lubrication of bearings, servicing of dryer)
- Performs calibrations and preventive maintenance on all types of industrial instruments for temperature, pressure, level, flow, RH and analysers (e.g. Sensors, indicators, recorders, transmitters, transducers, control valves, annunciators, p H and conductivity meters).
- Work as team to perform weighing scale calibration.
- Executes CMMS Work Instruction from process plants (e.g. Isolation and Reconnection of electrical supply, leakages, replace faulty part, troubleshoot, repair any E/I or mechanical faults)
- Performs basic troubleshooting of the PLC, BMS, EMS and FAS systems. Troubleshoot AHU repair and replace motor belt and do laser alignment.
- Have knowledge on machining and fabrication activities. Perform tire repair and replacement of Tank agitator and mechanical seal.
- Participate in SHE, Business Compliance, and all other compliance-related matters, where applicable
- Supervise and oversee Third Party Contractors, where applicable
- Any other tasks as and when assigned by Supervisors

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Qualification
- Diploma / ITC/ NTC in Mechanical, Mechantronics, Electrical or Instrumentation & Control Engineering
Experience
- Work experience required; 2 to 5 years’ experience in maintenance or related fields;
- Have work experience in the chemical, semiconductor or oil and gas industry
- PUB electrician license will be an advantage
- Fitting and welding skills will be an added advantage

This is a career conversion programme under Workforce Singapore (WSG) and candidates must meet the following criteria and are open to the following conditions:
- Singaporeans/Singapore PRs only
- PMETs/Mid-Careerist with minimum 2 years working experience
- Open to two years contract
- shift work (12 hours rotating shift including Sat/Sun. Shift allowance will be provided)
