Background
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced React software engineer to join our dynamic startup team. This role is pivotal in driving the development and management of our Gator App Family (Pod/Pod+), SOM app, and various cloud-based services. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end development, including coding, testing, deployment, debugging, and documentation. Additionally, you will lead the rewrite of our i OS app in React Native and ensure seamless integration between the app, cloud services, and devices.

Job scope
App Development and Management
- Ownership: Take full ownership of the Gator App Family (Pod/Pod+), SOM app, managing the entire lifecycle from concept to deployment.
- Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Develop new features and enhance existing functionalities.
- Testing: Implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure high-quality code. Conduct unit, integration, and system testing.
- Deployment: Manage the app deployment process, ensuring smooth releases and updates.
- Debugging: Identify and fix bugs promptly. Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all code, APIs, and application processes.
- Migration: Lead the effort to create an i OS app in React Native, ensuring performance and maintainability.
- Best Practices: Implement best practices for mobile development and ensure the app adheres to the latest industry standards.
- End-to-End Integration: Ensure seamless integration between the app, cloud services, devices, and SOM system.
- API Management: Develop and maintain APIs for communication between the app and backend services.
- Device Communication: Facilitate smooth interaction between the app and various connected devices.
- Platform Management: Take over and manage the platform from both the cloud and app sides.
- Data Handling: Oversee the management of raw data (CMS), processing, and processed data.
- Server Uptime and Security: Ensure high server uptime and robust security measures to protect data integrity and user privacy.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in mobile app development
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in React Native, i OS development, and cloud services. Strong understanding of API integration and data management.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Documentation: Strong ability to document code and processes effectively.
- Security: Experience with implementing and maintaining security protocols for mobile apps and cloud services.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Android and i OS development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of backend development and server management.
