Research Associate (Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering)

In support of the 'Climate Change Impact on Erosion Failure Risk of Slopes in Singapore' project, the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is seeking to hire a Research Associate to conduct risk assessments of slopes in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect data on infrastructure near slopes in Singapore
Use multi-criteria decision-making methods, such as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), to evaluate the risk of slope erosion
Analyze the impact of climate change on slope erosion risk

Job Requirements:

Master degree in civil engineering or geotechnical engineering
Expertise in risk assessment, Geographic Information System (GIS), and climate change
Strong background in engineering risk assessment and be capable of conducting slope data collection, multi-criteria decision-based risk evaluation, and studying the impacts of climate change on slope erosion risk
