The initial term of appointment will be 1-year. The selected candidate will be offered competitive salaries and benefits.
The Research Fellow will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator (A/Prof Suranga Nanayakkara). He/She will work on creating an AI system that can identify emotional states and make recommendations (e.g. drinks).
Major responsibilities include:
- Conduct original, impactful research leading the industry funded ‘Emo Drink’ project
- Provide guidance to Ph D students, Research Engineers in the group.
- Dissemination of the research outcomes via Journal/Conference papers and contribute to research grant proposals.
- Participation in industry project meetings as well as industrial/academic events.
Qualifications
- Ph D in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Experience and interest in ML/AI techniques
- Good track record of research with a good publication record
