- Participate in school-based professional development programs, contributing to the wider school community.
- Work with school leadership to continually refine and improve the EAL program.
- Attend school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other events as required.
- Contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school as needed.
- At the end of each term, conduct a comprehensive reassessment of each EAL student's progress, both in terms of language acquisition and academic integration.
- Provide written reports to parents detailing progress, challenges, and areas for development, as well as recommendations for continued support.
- A degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification, preferably with a specialization in EAL or ESL (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, PGCE).
- Experience teaching EAL or ESL to primary or secondary students, ideally within an international school setting.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge International Curriculum is preferred.
- Experience with WIDA standards and assessments is a significant advantage.
- Proven track record of supporting diverse learners and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, international school environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, balancing teaching and administrative responsibilities.
- Ability to use technology to enhance language learning, including the use of online resources, multimedia tools, and educational platforms.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
