DESIGNATION : Visual Journalist (Indonesia), CNA Digital (1-Year Contract)
RESPONSIBILITIES
CNA Digital is looking for a visual journalist to work with its correspondents based in Indonesia. The successful hire will primarily be responsible for photography and videography when the correspondents are in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Work with correspondents during assignments to produce photos and/or videos that convey the story.
- Support correspondents shooting pieces to camera, including setting up, lighting and sound.
- Editing pictures and producing clear as well as attractive videos for social media. This will be done in conjunction with a visuals editorial team based in Singapore.
- Understand social media trends and know how to produce engaging visual content.
- There may be occasional independent reporting involved.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in visual journalism.
- Able to operate professional camera for photography and video.
- Have the knowledge of using mobile phone or tablet for quick filming and upload direct to website.
- Able to edit video material, sometime to tight deadlines.
- Ability to operate a drone is a plus.
- Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- This position will be based in Greater Jakarta.
