Country Manager - Easy 24

Easy 24 is an exciting and innovative B2B Entity that operates within leading global premium spirits manufacturer Pernod Ricard. Easy 24 is live in over 6 countries with a unique platform that successfully connects businesses their preferred wholesalers 24/7 with digital ease.
The Easy24 Country Manager - South Africa, first and foremost is the leader of the Easy 24 Business Unit and is responsible for leading Easy 24 to become a separate entity from Pernod Ricard South Africa. This role will report to the Easy 24 Board and have complete leadership of the Easy 24 cross functional team and operations.
This passionate individual will bring their entrepreneurial mindset and experience to lead the business strategy, role model of our culture and values and motivator of high performance with the Easy 24 team. You will have complete P&L and business entity responsibility and secure the right resources in this fast passed and dynamic digital route to market for your shareholders, wholesalers and business owners
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Be the owner of Easy24 in South Africa
  • Build and lead a strong and effective team, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Maintain and build on the Easy24 company culture, the foundation of the company success, drive continuous learning & innovation.
  • Define Easy24 development strategy for South Africa in collaboration with Easy24 Central Team, Pernod Ricard Market Company and other potential key partners/investors.
  • Is accountable for Easy24 development in South Africa, closely monitoring metrics and KPIs focused on adoption and deployment efficiency (recruitment, conversion, retention, Gross Merchandise Value, Acquisition Cost, Lifetime Value, etc.) to build a sustainable & profitable business.
  • Ensure strong focus of the Easy24 team on the key performance indicators that will deliver the biggest return on investment whilst ensuring teams strong wellbeing and continuous motivation.
  • Proactively propose changes, with key stakeholders, the Easy24 path to independence as a standalone entity.
  • Once Easy24 is an independent entity, the Country Manager will manage all day-to-day operations, including support services, and will then report into elected Easy24 SA Board
Ensure highest level of engagement and focus from Easy24 and Pernod Ricard teams
  • Ensure proximity with PRSA to ensure Easy24 plays a key role in local strategic battlegrounds. Proactively identify roadblocks and propose remediation plans.
  • Elevate appetite for Easy24 as a data, insights and RTM offering for PRSA.
Maximize the added value for all stakeholders
  • Ensure the highest satisfaction level of vendors, buyers and CPGs by building strong relationships with management teams, understanding their needs, building acceleration strategies accordingly and providing the highest level of service.
  • Define methodology to compute Easy24 impact on stakeholders P&L (Pernod Ricard, vendor, buyer, other CPG partners) and maximize it.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships and relationships with stakeholders, including potential investors, customers, suppliers, and other key players in the industry.
Product Development and management
  • Lead product development and launch, driving innovation and creativity, and ensuring the final product meets customer expectations and is of high quality.
  • Build ways to drive revenues from the app via most relevant monetization models (vendor fees, CPGs partnership, added-value services).
Financial Planning and analysis
Develop and implementing business strategy
  • Develop and implement the overall business strategy, including creating a clear vision for the company's future and guiding employees towards achieving common goals.
  • Raise capital and manage finances, including securing funding, making informed financial decisions, and ensuring the company's financial stability and sustainability.

Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in FMCG RTM Management
  • Has managed major national retailer/distributor/buying group relationships.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working with multinational support teams – ability to manage upwards
  • Exposure and working knowledge of e B2B and related services (Payment solutions, delivery, credit, etc.), a preference.
  • Experience in product development and launch, with a track record of bringing innovative products to market.
