Market Access Manager

- Develop, lead, and execute the national market access strategy in collaboration with the team.
- Prepare and submit local price and reimbursement applications.
- Lead hospital access, tender, and negotiation processes.
- Analyze trends, competitors, and pricing factors that impact local access and pricing.
- Assist in developing pricing strategies and forecasts.
- Partner with the medical team to generate local evidence (e.g., registry data) to drive access.
- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders within various payer bodies in South Africa.
- Participate in cross-functional work and contribute as a team player.
- University degree in health economics, pharmacy, business economics, or a related field.
- Proven understanding of health economics principles.
- Ability to develop trust-based relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and analytical skills.
- Strategic mindset and business acumen.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- In-depth understanding of the external pharmaceutical environment in South Africa.
- Strong project management skills, including planning and time management.
- Experience in oncology and/or other specialist areas.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry or a government body.
- Enjoys working in cross-functional teams.
- Excited to work in a global company with strong values and a supportive local office environment.
