Job Description
Eosol Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Wind Quality Technician to join our team for the Impofu project in Kouga. Key Responsibilities
As a Wind Quality Technician, your primary duties will include but are not limited to:
Quality Assurance & Control : Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the wind farm construction and operational phases. This includes regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Monitoring & Reporting : Closely monitor wind turbine installations and operational performance to ascertain compliance with predefined benchmarks and performance indicators. You will be responsible for documenting findings and delivering comprehensive reports to project management.
Technical Support : Provide expert technical advice on quality-related issues, offering solutions and support to other team members as necessary. You will act as a key point of contact for quality concerns, working collaboratively with engineers and project managers.
Problem Identification & Resolution : Identify potential quality issues promptly and develop corrective action plans. Ensure that all quality deficiencies are properly documented and addressed in a timely manner.
Training & Development : Conduct quality-related training sessions for field personnel to enhance understanding and compliance with quality protocols. This role requires effective communication skills to ensure that all team members are informed and trained on quality standards and systems.
Stakeholder Engagement : Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate quality assurance activities. This includes interaction with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred. Specializations in renewable energy, quality management, or a related discipline will be considered an advantage.
Experience : A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Quality Technician, preferably within the wind energy sector or a similar renewable energy environment. Experience overseeing quality processes on large-scale projects is highly desirable.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in quality management systems and tools. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertaining to wind energy, such as IEC and ISO standards.
Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. The ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed decisions based on quantitative and qualitative assessments.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner is essential.
Team Player : Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while being independent when required. Eagerness to support colleagues and share knowledge.
Certification : Relevant certifications in quality management, such as Six Sigma or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualifications, would be beneficial.
