Presales Consultant, Retail Planning

Job Summary:
Drive solutions to sales engagements, marketing, and business development, presenting Planning solutions, mapping customer requirements to solution capabilities, and collaborating with Professional Services in proposal creation. Increase, grow, and develop the team's expertise in the region in the area of planning. Contribute to requirements and specification gathering for the Planning solution.
Also need to deliver Centric Planning Solution on-time with Agile Deployment Methodology, per schedule per responsible technical and business goals of company (e.g. out-of-the-box – OOTB configurations, customer business process mapping, and best practice advocacy).

The Centric planning team is leading the market in the delivery of first-class planning solutions for the fashion and retail industries. A dynamic and driven team of technical and business experts delivering end-to-end planning systems and driving customer project success.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer business requirements as a basis for proposing Planning Solutions
- Collaborate with the rest of the Sales Team in qualifying prospects
- Responsible for in-depth, broad-based pre-sales presentations of the entire Centric Planning Solution suite
- Configure Centric Software solutions that are fit for purpose through product presentations and supporting materials
- Produce written specifications (i.e. Solution Scope Documents and Use Case Documents) highlighting product features and benefits/value-add to customers to capture business process requirements for proposed solutions
- Analyze requirements and design solutions for complex customer requirements and their pain points
- Prepare response documentation for RFI/RFP requests
- Ensure clear understanding of customer’s technology requirements; providing support for Proposal and Project teams and technical leadership with a vision to win and deliver large-scale, complex solutions
- Provide input into future solution functionality, implementation methodology, and customization standards.
- Take part in marketing campaigns according to his/her understanding of markets and customer potential needs, ensuring that Sales pitches are also aligned
- Coordinate and collaborate with customer implementation team and Centric teams to ensure a successful and referenceable delivery.
- Analyze customer business process requirements as a basis to propose Centric Planning (OOTB) Solutions.
- Produce models (i.e. UML models) to capture business process requirements for proposed solutions and configuration activities.
- Analyze requirements and design solutions to address customer business scenarios within the product scope, with best practice analysis
- Ensure clear understanding of customer’s technology requirements; provide support for Proposal and Project teams, provide technical leadership and vision to win and deliver large-scale, complex solutions.
- Map and document Domain Model (Data/Object Model) to meet customers’ requirements.
- Identify, delegate and execute project tasks including configuring software, deployment training, data migration and deployment support.
- Mentor other consultants during the delivery of Centric Software based solutions.
- Provide input into future solution functionality, implementation methodology and configuration standards.
- Ensure that quality software engineering processes and Agile practices are followed.
Skills:
- Strategic Thinking Skills : Pre-Sales Consultants call upon their strategic thinking skills to craft successful sales pitches for their sales team and engage with their customers
- Analytical Skills: analyze data and the customer’s requirements before a product or sales campaign launches. The data they collect often makes or breaks a campaign, as it is used to craft a target customer for a given product
- Collaborative Skills and Sales Attitude: Whether it is with the sales team or with the customer, Pre Sales Consultants are constantly collaborating and pitching value propositions. They use these skills when presenting their sales pitches to other team members, as well as when participating in strategy meetings
- Skills for Delivery : Manage deployment projects per Centric’s Agile deployment methodology, delivering customer solution model per out-of-the-box Centric Planning use cases and configuration points and Centric’s Agile processes. Conduct customer business process analysis, information modeling, mapping to Centric Planning and interface control definitions with related systems to be integrated, data and process conversion from legacy systems or manual data, provide customer guidance on process-system alignment practices, desk top procedures, process-system validation and training and on-going customer care.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or similar
- Availability for travel depending on location
- Fashion / Specialty Retail Planning processes industry expertise
- Significant experience with Software Planning, Optimization, and Analytics. Specifically, system demonstrations and presentation skills are needed
- Technical Skills: knowledge of database and BI data science applications
- Excellent presentation, and application demonstration skills with small or large audiences
- Ability to develop multi-level relationships of confidence and trust with customers and cross-functional colleagues
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving technology and commercial environment
- Track record of pre-sales success
