Adjunct Instructors for Master in International Education

Job Description:
The Graduate Institute at the School for International Training (SIT) invites ongoing applications for a part-time instructor pool though at the moment we need to cover 2 positions for the 2024 Fall term (23rd Sept. to 13th December) in Sevilla: Theory and Practice in International Education (focused on student exchanges and study abroad programs) and Practitioner Inquiry (focused on qualitative methods of research). The schedule will be mainly in the mornings (a bit flexible) and involve around 4.5 hours of class a week.
We are especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and inclusive excellence of the academic community. We have a wide range of Master's programs, both low-residency and global, as well as a low-residency doctoral program. We are seeking adjuncts located in one of our global learning locations to teach in person. Our course offerings are listed below. Job Duties:
Deliver instruction appropriate to the topic, course description, intended learning outcomes, level, and student audience.
Promote and facilitate student success by creating an environment conducive to inclusive and experiential learning.
Manage the learning environment through effective record-keeping, submitting grades and other reports on time, and enforcing school/campus academic, code of conduct, and attendance policies.
Requirements:
Native or Bilingual level in English (C1/C2)
Doctoral degree in a related field, with experience in a position relevant to the course topic. (applicants with a MA could be considered if co-teaching with a colleague who holds a Ph D)
Graduate teaching experience is desirable.
Background in inclusive teaching, global education, and experiential learning
Experience with the course management system Canvas preferred
