The English House in Alcañiz is a friendly and dynamic English academy dedicated to teaching English as a second language. We focus on interactive, communicative classes for children and teens, preparing students for Cambridge exams, and offering conversation classes for adults.
Role Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic ESL Teacher to join our team in Alcañiz, starting January 2025. This is a contract, on-site role. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English lessons, prepare students for Cambridge exams, and tailor teaching methods to suit different age groups and abilities.
Qualifications
- TEFL/CELTA or equivalent certification
- Native-level English proficiency
- Legal right to work in Spain
- Strong lesson planning skills: ability to prepare engaging, effective lessons for children and teens
- Experience with Cambridge exams or willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills: we value teachers who can clearly and effectively communicate with students, colleagues, and management to ensure a smooth learning experience for everyone
- Hours: 20 teaching hours + 5 paid prep hours per week
- Schedule: 1 morning class online; all other classes in the afternoons
- Salary: competitive, depending on experience (send CV and cover letter for details)

Pay: 1,100.00€ - 1,300.00€ per month
Expected hours: 20 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Alcañiz, Teruel provincia: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
- What is your level of proficiency in English?
- Are you legally authorized to work in Spain?
- Do you have experience using interactive, communicative teaching methods, such as play-based activities and speaking-focused lessons, with children and teens?
- Teaching English as a Foreign Language: 1 year (Preferred)
- Lesson Planning: 1 year (Preferred)
- working with children in an educational setting: 1 year (Preferred)
- Cambridge Exam Preparation: 1 year (Preferred)
- TEFL/CELTA or equivalent certification (Preferred)
