Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

✍️ WHAT WOULD YOU NEED? ✍️

• University degree in IT Engineering or equivalent coding expertise.
• More than 5 years of relevant experience in IT environments.
• Major Plus: Proven knowledge of Iberian power markets or trading activities within financial firms.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and pipeline orchestration.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and big data tools like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
• Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced use of data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, Big Query, or Redshift.
• Familiarity with MLOps frameworks for deploying ML models.
• Expertise in data governance, security, privacy (GDPR compliance), and lineage tools.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and agility in fast-paced environments.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Data Pipeline Design & Maintenance: Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data transformation.
• Data Modeling & Architecture: Design scalable architectures for real-time and batch processing workflows.
• Cloud Integration: Develop and deploy data solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Automation & Orchestration: Implement automation frameworks to streamline ingestion, transformation, and reporting processes.
• Machine Learning Integration: Collaborate with data scientists to productionalize ML models using MLOps practices.
• Data Governance & Quality: Establish best practices for data governance, including documentation, security, and GDPR compliance.
• Collaboration with Business Experts: Automate processes related to markets such as intraday trading, reserve bidding, and grid nominations.
• Dev Ops Environment: Take end-to-end responsibility, ensuring automation minimizes operational efforts.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize pipeline, database, and application performance.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
