The Senior Manager - Global Tail Spend is a leadership position responsible for overseeing, optimizing and executing the tail spend strategies within GPO (Global Procurement Organization). This role is pivotal in ensuring that procurement operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.

The role leads a team of procurement professionals, interacts with senior leadership inside and outside of GPO, and implements best practices in procurement to drive value and efficiency across the organization. The role requires leadership skills, strategic thinking, extensive knowledge of procurement processes, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to manage and streamline procurement activities and operations across multiple business units, playing a critical role in positioning the procurement function as a best-in-class and a value-adding partner delivering measurable business impact.

Key job responsibilities

Develop & implement strategic initiatives for managing tail spend, streamlining and automating the procurement processes to reduce costs
Lead, develop, and inspire a diverse, global team of procurement professionals
Drive tail spend catalogue efficiencies at scale
Engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies support overall business objectives
Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement process and shared services, analyze data, benchmark against industry best practices and report on performance to drive continuous improvement
Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring financial targets are met
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the procurement processes and shared services remain competitive and effective
Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and prepare & present reports to senior leadership
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
MBA
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements
