About the role

Appfire is looking for a Software Engineer to work with the Document Management team. We provide collaboration and agile solutions to organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500s. Our products, including the award-winning app Comala Document Management, enhance teamwork for thousands of businesses across the world. You will report to the Manager of Software Engineering and be a member of the Document Management Team.
You can choose to work remotely from Spain.
Your everyday tasks will include:

• Work on some of the top apps for Atlassian Confluence
• Implement great features for products that users love using
• Be involved in the whole process from conceptualizing to the development and testing of new features and products
• Fix defects, write automated tests, and keep the high quality of the codebase
• Work independently and as part of our team
• Follow the best engineering practices: automated testing, code reviews, pair programming

Skills and experience you'll need to succeed:

• 2+ years' experience as a software developer
• Experience as a web developer with Javascript or similar languages/technologies
• Understand asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
• Familiarity with a diverse range of technologies, including but not limited to Node.js, Typescript, and REST.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Any experience with the following technologies is a plus: AWS, Heroku, Jenkins, Github, Atlassian tools
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Java Script frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
