In this role, you will take primary responsibility for managing and developing Distribution & Logistics processes and systems for the INT (Individualized Neoantigen Therapy) product. This includes overseeing warehousing, packaging, and shipping processes, as well as supporting Quality Systems Record Management. As Senior Specialist, Distribution & Logistics, you will act as the regional logistics business partner and serve as the main point of contact for Moderna’s third-party logistics providers.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities will be:
Ensure efficient material flow across Moderna’s logistics network, covering inbound supply, cross-dock warehousing, packaging, and secondary distribution to clinical sites.
Perform export-related activities, including updating commercial invoices and managing the greenlight process with Trade Compliance and brokers.
Conduct continuous end-to-end tracking of INT shipments and identify potential delays, working closely with QPs, brokers, and 3PLs to resolve issues promptly.
Ensure adherence to Health Authority guidelines such as Good Distribution and Storage Practices.
Implement and manage GDP-compliant logistics processes, including shipping validation and customs clearance.
Collaborate with logistics service providers on performance reporting and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Perform SAP transactions related to material flow and maintain lane mappings for INT shipments across the EMEA region.
Implement and optimize logistics KPIs to ensure provider performance.
Support the implementation of digital tools to drive automation and streamline logistics procedures.
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects in alignment with business requirements.
Update and maintain Logistics SOPs, both internally and with third-party providers.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement in logistics timelines and cost optimization.

Act with urgency: A strong sense of urgency is critical as you’ll be responsible for time-sensitive shipments to clinical sites, ensuring that delays are minimized and resolved swiftly.
Here’s What You’ll Need ( Basic Qualifications)
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience within Distribution/Logistics and/or Supply Chain
BS/BA Degree is preferred (Supply Chain/Operations/Logistics or Business Management).
Strong preference towards Pharmaceutical and Biotech experience. Experience working in a c GMP and c GDP environment
Good understanding of the Pharma industry & Supply Chain
Must demonstrate a strong understanding and knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations as well as customs handling for import / export.
Prior experience with Distribution of personalized / individualized medicine, make-to-order Distribution is a big plus
Previous experience in SAP or related ERP system is required.
Experience of logistics software (transport management system, warehouse management system, visibility tools)
Experience with automation and AI tools is a big plus
