Vilomix is a leading international provider of animal nutrition solutions. We are looking for a TECHNICAL DIRECTOR for our Spanish subsidiary (Vilomix Iberia). The Technical Director will report to the General Manager in Spain and be responsible for leading, driving and aligning feed concepts and services for all species, with a focus on monogastric.
As Technical Director you have the expertise to ensure successfully delivery of technical solutions to the customers in close collaboration with Purchasing, Production and Commercial Directors. You will lead the technical and quality teams and also participate in the global innovation structure.

The key responsibilities include:
- Possess in-depth knowledge within pigs and poultry and follow the market developments closely.
- Based on our value propositions set the technical direction and actions aligned with the CEO and Sales.
- Participate in the Global Innovation Team, representing the Spanish market and needs and preparing global concepts for local implementation
- Build new strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understand their business needs
- Ensures a streamlined customer approach and further portfolio development in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Organize and provide training and coaching of sales team ensuring the right level of knowledge to penetrate the monogastric market
- Lead the Formulation team and Laboratory & Quality department ensuring we have the right competencies internally and externally with our partners
- Ensures a strong link with operations and Purchasing Director to align product formulations with purchase and manufacturing.
- Veterinarian, Degree in Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Animal Nutrition or comparable education
- At least 10 years of experience in animal nutrition, with a proven track record of technical leadership
- Strong knowledge about feed and monogastric nutrition. Special focus in piglets.
- Strong business acumen, with experience in implementing technical concepts that drive revenue and profitability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish is required
- Location in Spain – Our factory in Valls – Artesans, 6643800 Valls (Tarragona)
