Europrop International (EPI) is responsible for the TP400-D6 turboprop engines design, development, manufacturing and support. Produced to power the Airbus A400M Military Transport Aircraft built by Airbus Defence and Space, the TP400-D6 is the most powerful engine in production.

Consisting of a European collaboration programme between ITP, MTU Aero Engines, Rolls- Royce and Safran Aircraft Engines, Europrop International combines the best of Europe’s aerospace companies’ resources and expertise. Created in 2002, EPI is based in Munich and has a liaison office in Madrid.

Job Description:
Scope:
  • To carry out service engineering tasks as detailed below and as directed by the service engineering management team.
Accountabilities:
  • To coordinate and provide technical insight to root cause investigations from ML1,2 and 3.
  • To analyse data from in-service operations to assess engine behaviour and emerging trends
  • To meet the airframer and customer directly to build relationship and for communications on technical subjects.
  • To manage the provision of data/hardware to support Life Management Plan activity
  • To coordinate and input technical requirements for engine repair
  • To liaise with the Service Support team and support the Customer operations stream.
  • To compile response to Technical Variances, coordinating this with the EPI Partner Companies
  • To validate technical documentation providing service perspective and processes
  • To prepare presentations to summarise in-service events and to ensure clear reporting of in-service events
  • To support the Fleet Manager in developing maintenance improvements and assisting with the investigation in reducing any operational burden in this respect
  • To provide on-call services to cover 24/7 Front Office Support for AOG
Responsibilities:
  • To support the Fleet Manager and Data Manager in discharging their duties
  • To support the 24/7 Front Office Service and Team
  • To support the EPI functions in discharging their duties ensuring that any service engineering issues are tabled for consideration.
  • To support other EPI functions in discharging their accountabilities to deliver their contractual requirements
  • To support the other functions to deliver their accountabilities by the provision and iteration where required of interfacing requirements, data and outputs.
  • To ensure compliance to the EPI Quality Management System
Profile:
  • Engineering degree qualified in Aerospace or engineering related discipline
  • Knowledge of gas turbine operations and architecture.
  • Experience of working in an in-service environment in a technical support on safety critical systems in a high pressure, complex environment.
