Job Description

We are looking for a multi-faceted 3D / CGI Artist to join our global design team, working on-site with our creative teams in our Malmö or Stockholm studio (both locations are possible). Our current focus is on recruiting for a full-time role, but we are also open to exploring other employment formats, such as internships, freelance or contract engagements.

As a CGI Artist at Above, you will get the opportunity to work with multi-disciplinary project teams on a broad range of cutting-edge design & innovation projects for some of the world's most exciting clients. You will be an integral part of our design team, working closely with our creatives in shaping project deliveries and external communication efforts through high-quality visualisations (often products) and impactful storytelling. Your strong technical skillset and conceptual ability to develop creative visualisation stories will allow you to have direct impact in elevating our creative output.

Our work is exciting and diverse in nature, ranging from physical products, digital experiences, to strategically shaping holistic brand stories, portfolios and ecosystems - all requiring a nuanced and adapted approach to communicating impact and visual storytelling. This role further comes with the exciting opportunity to evolve & expand our CGI practice holistically as we take the next leap as a creative agency with global impact.

What we are looking for
We are excited to connect with skilled CGI Artists, and believe you showcase many of these qualities to thrive in this role:

Fluency across multiple 3D modeling & rendering software packages (such as Keyshot, Cinema 4D, Blender, Houdini, Rhino, etc.) to drive the creation of photorealistic 3D visualisations and animations

Broad visualisation portfolio, demonstrating versatility across a range of applications, such as product studio visualisations, technical details, contextual environment renderings, material stories, digital product & interface visualisations, and abstract compositions

Understanding of design / project workflows within an agency context, and ability to adjust fidelity, toolbox and timelines fluently. Previous professional experience working in or with design consultancies and product / industrial design visualisation a plus

Aesthetic sensitivity and a discerning eye for composition, lighting, colors, materials, texturing, graphics, and general visual culture

Proficiency in working with advanced animation and motion

Strong creativity in cross-discipline conceptual/visual storytelling

Understanding of photography- and cinematography principles

Openness to take art direction and creative feedback from peers, with an ability to proactively develop art direction and visual styles

A humble and collaborative team player with an optimistic approach to problem-solving and ambiguous conceptual challenges

Ability to clearly communicate ideas and results verbally and visually, both towards internal teams, clients and external stakeholders
