About the position
This is a newly created position, due to the growth of the company. We are in a start-up mode and need an experienced accountant, who will be responsible for the financial accounting in our Swedish office in Lund.
Main responsibilities
Independent management of financial accounting, including preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Swedish and international accounting standards (IFRS).
We are looking for an accountant, with a strong background in all areas of the financial accounting. To be successful in this role it is important that you are a networked thinker and an exact and efficient contributor with high integrity, who loves to work with numbers. This is a newly created position, due to the growth of the company. We are in a start-up mode and need an experienced accountant, who will be responsible for the financial accounting in our Swedish office in Lund.
Main responsibilities
Independent management of financial accounting, including preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Swedish and international accounting standards (IFRS).
- Financial Accounting & Reporting: Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as well as consolidation for the Swedish entity
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing for employees (~16) in Sweden, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, handle payroll-related taxes, social security contributions and other statutory requirements
- Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax, etc.) in Sweden
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Participate in budget planning and control, as well as in the creation of forecasts for the Swedish entity
- Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Ensure effective liquidity planning and control, monitor payment transactions and manage accounts receivable
- Audit & Year-End Review: Prepare and coordinate internal and external audits

Coordination & Communication: Close collaboration with the finance team in Switzerland for financial reporting and data consolidation, regularly communicate and align with the CFO in Switzerland
We are looking for an accountant, with a strong background in all areas of the financial accounting. Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or audit, preferably in an international environment
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Hands-on experience with accounting software Visma would be a plus
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookup and Pivot tables
- High level of self-responsibility and proactivity
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Fluent in Swedish and English (written & spoken), knowledge of German is an advantage but not mandatory
